Situated in the heart of the Saxon state capital, the Dresden Zwinger ranks among Germany’s most well-known Baroque buildings of Germany and is, apart from the Church of Our Lady, certainly the most famous building monument in Dresden. It accommodates internationally renowned museums and is a place for staging music and theater performances.

Free admission to the inner courtyard and the exterior premises of the Dresden Zwinger all year round.

By rail
•    by various trains (ICE/IC/EC/RE/RB) to Dresden Main Station (Dresden Hauptbahnhof):
•    by city rail to Dresden Mitte Station, then further by bus or tram or on foot (10 to 15-min walk through Dresden City/Prager Strasse)

By public transport
•    various trams and buses (DVB AG), closest stops: Postplatz and Theaterplatz
